Beginning painting expands students' understanding of color theory as it applies to observational painting. Students explore a variety of paint materials from tempera to acrylic, watercolor and more. Traditional painting techniques as well as experimentation are encouraged as a means to guide students to have greater confidence in the medium paint and in the creation of unique expressive works.
