SU18 Session 3 CSW092.01 Creative Contraptions Grades 5-6 1:30PM-4:30PM

Jun 25 - Jun 29, 2018

Even the most complex systems are usually made up of simple machines.  Devise and execute creative contraptions in the spirit of Rube Goldberg, famed illustrator of complicated machines that perform basic tasks.  Using a predefined challenge, collaborate with others to plan, test and revise your ideas through trial and error.  Coaxing common devices to accomplish a goal is great practice for solving authentic problems through ingenuity, persistence and critical thinking.
